You my friend have a side hustle.
As a single mama, I always had a little side gig to make a little extra money weather it was career coaching or free-lance work, I love a good side hustle. There were days that I just didn’t have the motivation to write after already working all day. My work-life balance became more of a work-work balance. I wasn’t doing too great managing, so both areas suffered and I was tired....80% of the time.
But the plus side is that I definitely learned a few awesome tricks to pass on for those who are still in the “balancing a full-time job and side hustle” phase. It’s not easy to balance it all- but with a strategy in place, it can be done, and you can even have a life and time with loved once if you do it right!
Use these four tips to excel at your job, grow a thriving side business and still find time for a little fun in your life.
Wake up earlier
I know, the idea of waking up any earlier makes you sick, plus you’re a night owl, you work better at night. But trust me, you will get more done in that extra hour or two than you are getting done in the same time frame at night.
Waking up at 5 AM gives me an hour and a half of un interrupted dedicated time to work on Hustle and Grow girl. The fact is that in the evening after we’ve worked a full day, we are tiered. Getting up earlier you will be more alert and well rested. Your focus will be better and distractions minimized.
If you’re working a full time job the chances are that your time during the week is very limited. I’m big on goal setting. Set goals monthly or weekly for your hustle. Whether that is an amount of money you want to make or a project you’d like to complete have a goal in mind.
You’re perhaps setting aside an hour or two every day to work on your side hustle. Go into every work session with your goal in mind and what steps you will take during this work session to get closer to that goal. Having clear, measurable goals will help you prioritize and accomplish more.

I personally love notebooks. I have a notebook dedicated to my business and I write everything in it; blog post ideas and notes, social media stats, goals. I keep it all in one place. Whatever it is that will help you be more efficient find a system and use it!
